Short biography:

Fani Nicheva has been blessed to live and work in two cultures - American and Eastern European - and draw creative lessons from both experiences.

Born and raised in Bulgaria during communism, she grew up acutely 

aware of the culture of commercial emptiness and ideological 

propaganda. She started studying languages and literature at the 

University of Prague in the Czech Republic but after earning a full-

tuition scholarship from Emmanuel College in Boston, she moved to 

America for what it has been now 20 years.

She worked as a creative director for the European ad agency EURO. 

RSCG in Sofia, Bulgaria, which gave her a strong background in 

advertising. Together with her husband, Bob von Elgg, she co-founded 

graphic design studio, Bigfish Smallpond Design, in 2006 and started 

BRAVE BRAND in 2018.
